NYC: Searching for Perspective

I’m wrapping up some editing in terminal 5 of JFK while I wait on my delayed flight. This trip was a fast one, at times stressful. I didn’t feel like I brought any spectacular images home but what I brought home was a perspective.

I began the trip trying to capture the largeness of the city(above), however, the images seems played out and, quite frankly, I’ve seen better images. Therefore by the end of the trip, I redirected my focus on smaller moments or scenes. The city was overwhelming to try to capture in a few large perspective images. When I realized my perspective on this trip I became aware of aspects of the city that I generally overlooked.
